Art Production Design

De Stijl Papillon is comprised of two public sculptures, Still Life of Patrick Roy and Still Life of Jacque Plante. Commissioned by Canderel, the work is permanently mounted within the lobby of a new residential complex connected to the home arena for the Montreal Canadians Hockey Club. Bridging a range of cultural references, David Armstrong Six’s sculptures interplay between the colour and forms attributed to the De Stijl movement in modern art while at the same time celebrating the ever-present ties to sports culture inherent in the site.  

APD assisted the artist with production and site drawings, engineering, and project management.
